Krishnapuram Palace is located in Kayamkulam which was built by Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma in early 18th century. A distinctly placed mural painting, titled "Gajendra Moksha“, is said to be the largest painting find in Kerala with a height of 154 square feet. This palace is built in typical Kerala style architecture following traditional Vasthu Sastra and in the local language, it is considered as Pathinerakettu.
